So oppo the PS4 came out last week and the new Xbox comes out this Friday. There will be racing games for both so the question is what console will you pick up?
What Next Gen Console Will You Race On?

Picked up the PS4 at a midnight release. Mostly, though, this will be used by the wife, as I will be playing GT6 on the PS3 next month.

I'm probably gonna be picking up a PS4 sometime close to the release of GT7. Not much point in getting it any earlier.

I think one of the choices should be both because I am genuinely considering that.

The Bone, as I have other interests than racing I think it will serve better.

Is there a way to edit it with out eliminating the current votes?

Not sure. Never made one of these before.

I didn't get a PS3 until GT5 came out... That will definitely be sufficient for now, as I'll have GT6 to play. Not sure when I'll be prompted to buy a used PS4, but I do really like the controller. Not a big fan of paying $50/year for online play, though. Don't think it's a bad deal, just doesn't work for me.

I came up with GT, and I prefer the PS. I will get GT6 and eventually a PS4, but it remains to be seen if the next gen of console sim racing can start to bring the fight to iRacing, because frankly, they've got a lot of ground to make up in the physics and simulation, and more importantly, in the online infrastructure. The console sims need far more structure and better hosting tools for their online sides.
But yeah, the best racing is happening on PC

If history is any indication, I'd get a PS4. Although with GT6 (and GTA V) on PS3 and Tourist Trophy still keeping the PS2 alive, what's the point?

After making this I realized I completely forgot PC as an option. Although I suppose it really is hard to compare PC to console.
PC is
constantly upgraded with the latest software and hardware
seem to get more frequent updates
have completely customizable inputs
Consoles...
pick a hardware set to stick with for 5 years
have limited controlls available

I'm waiting for Project CARS or Assetto Corsa to take off on steam, then i'll buy a wheel. I can't justify buying a system for a game anymore.

Getting the Xbone after the holiday rush. I'd do the iRacing thing, but I'd rather spend the money I'd spend on a sim setup on a kart.

I will eventually get the PS4. Haven't owned an X-Box yet. Still can't forgive Microsoft for buying Bungie and taking away the best game developer for the old powerpc Mac's. I remember an article years ago about Bungie's follow up to the Marathon series and I was so excited for it, and then whamm-o, Microsoft buys them and that game turns out to be Halo. And yes, that is the actual reason I haven't and will never own an X-box.

I'm not planning on getting a new Sony or MS console anytime soon. I've got a Wii U as my console and am saving for a gaming computer for iRacing and other fun uses.
Any other Wii U owners around? Project cars should be out for it next year. So there's that.

Nope.

Answer: none of the above. If I ever upgrade, it'll be to a Valve "Steam Machine."
